hello, and welcome to T E T H Y S! Please keep in mind that although fun and learning are the primary goals of all enrichment center activities, serious injury may occur. For your safety, and the safety of others, you need to read the rules.
g e n e r a l
- play nice! be respectful to everyone on the site. That includes newbies, senior members, staff, and everyone else.
- please don't use chatspeak in the boards. It's hard to understand. You may use chatspeak in the cbox.
- check your spelling and grammar. That annoying red line is there for a reason, and I will yell at you if you confuse it's and its, you're and your, there and their, etc.
- you may create as many threads as you like. In-character threads must be kept active {this means at least one post a week}, so don't start a roleplay thread if you don't think you'll be able to post regularly. Out-of-character threads don't need to be kept active, but they will be removed after a month of no posting.
- this site is open to everyone! If you've been roleplaying for years, like me, or if you've never been on a roleplay site before, welcome!
- the site rating is somewhere between pg and pg-13. That means swearing/violence/anything else that would get a 13-year-old in trouble should be kept to a minimum {but is still permissible in moderation).
- there is no word minimum for roleplay posts! But please, try to write at least a paragraph {5 -- 20 sentences} per post.

- the current character limit is 6. This is subject to change at any time.
- please only create characters if you're actually going to use them! Unused characters will be put up for adoption by other players.
- follow the form that's in the create-a-character board. It's there to make things easier on everyone.
- please don't start roleplaying until your character has been accepted. Usually the character will be accepted on the first go -- we're pretty lenient -- but it's still polite to be patient!
- speaking of patience, please don't bug the admins about looking at your profile. A simple "hey, I put up a new character" is okay, but don't pester us every fifteen minutes.

- as I said, there's no word minimum, but please try to keep posts longer than a few sentences. Anything less takes up space and doesn't move the story along.
- keep in mind that these are dinosaurs. They don't know anything about life 250 million years in the future. So while names like "Charlie" are technically permissible since you can make up your own names, they'll seem out of place.
- no godmoding, powerplaying, etc. It's rude, and multiple instances will get you banned.
- if two characters decide to duke it out in an epic battle between good and evil, or something, it's up to you to decide who wins. And it's up to the player who's being attacked to decide whether the attacker hits them. However, no invincibility! That's just as rude as injuring someone else without permission.
- conversely, if two characters decide they just can't live without each other anymore, they can get married, as it were, in {this board}.
- when posting, use normal language. Anyone who uses "orbs" for eyes or any sort of gemstone as a substitute for a normal color {eg, "sapphire orbs"} will be fed to an irate Kronosaurus. Same goes for "audits" instead of "ears", etc.
- characters can form alliances! If a couple of characters decide to work together to fight/hunt/whatever, they can elect a leader {or have an admin arbitrarily pick one} and their alliance will be added to a list on the front page. Alliances make them that much more powerful, so you might consider it.

- there's no codeword to create a character, as there is in some boards. But you still have to follow these rules! "I didn't know" is not a valid excuse!
- if you need to post out of character in an in-character thread, denote it in some way, either by shrinking/italicizing it, or putting it in some form of ((double parentheses)).
- threads will be assumed open unless marked as private. For this reason, it is prudent to mark a thread as private if you don't want just anyone joining.
- threads that contain more than minor violence or language must be marked as such. It keeps innocent eyes from being scarred, and that's my job.
- if you have any questions, ask! We don't bite!
- have fun!
okay, I think that's it! If there's anything else, I'll add it, but for now, that's all~!
